Recover your lost email account

Twice I had my Gmail account not working on my Pocket PC and I've never been able to fix it. Let me explain: I used to download Gmail email to Outlook and then someday, Gmail stopped working. I just could not access it anymore though it was still listed in Outlook and on my Today screen. I managed to delete the account in Outlook, but it was impossible to recreate the account with the same name afterwards. I wish I had MailAccountRepair at that time. Your free download here for Pocket PC. And here for Smartphone. It's an .exe file that you need to copy to your device. Run the file, select the email account from the list and click the repair button. It's that simple. Post a comment if you happen to use it.

  4. Hi,

I used your utilisy to remove some ghost account that were broken by a bad backup utility. I successfully repaired two ghosted account and were able to delete them after. But there is one left that your app fail to repair ("Repair failed").

It happens to be the one I most want to remove, since it reports as "account :2 Unread" on today screen (I bet it has something to do with the failure to repair it)

I searched the registry to find the account but haven't found it..

Could your app offer an option to just delete ghost accounts?

  5. I think so too.

To repair the "2 unread" email problem download FixUnreadCount at www.freewarepocketpc.net/get-fixunreadcount-v1-0.html.

  6. thanks for the reply, but, unfortunately, it didn't work.

The 2 unread mail is not there by error, there is probably 2 unread mails in that ghost account. The problem is that I can't delete it nor repair it.
