Tips: Disable Start Menu sound
I've just figured that one out. To disable the Start Menu sound, go to Start - Settings - Sounds & Notifications and remove or uncheck Events. Click OK.
Can you help? Whenever I attempt to sync, there are blue underlined "Attention Required" notations next to Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes. The only categories which seem to work are Access and Files. I am running ActiveSync 4.5. While I have quite a few contacts, calendar entries, and tasks, the total and the size of each seems to be below the maximum for Windows CE and Pocket PC. When I click on the hypertext linked "attention required", I get the supremely unhelpful window indicating "Contacts: Attention Required", "Calendar: Attention Required", etc. Sometimes I get error messages which I looked up and seem to indicate that the "server is busy". Sometimes the device indicates that I should close all applications running Windows... which is weird because no other applications (Windows or not) seem to be running on the device or the PC.
Linley,

Thanks.
Try deleting the partnership on your device and PC. On your, open Activesync, click Menu - Options. Select your PC and click Delete from the Menu.
ReplyDeleteOn your PC, open Activesync. Click File - Delete Mobile device.
Reboot both and connect again.
