In the case of the iMac, Apple considered the machine as being "contaminated" and a thus a "bio hazard".
Jason O'Grady writes that "Apple will not force an employee to work on anything deemed hazardous to their health because of the obvious legal exposure that could create."
Hmmm...I suggest that Apple have their design engineers work on a hazardous material suite to protect its employees from any infection left behind by an insect. The suite must come complete with an oxygen bottle that could look like the magic mouse. That way, the employees won't breathe the dust on and inside an iMac. Just my thoughts...
