New technology to supplant Ion lithium batteries

Angstrom Power Inc. Has developed and tested a new technology to power mobile devices with twice "the run-time of batteries and with recharge times on the order of 10 minutes." Simply put, Angstrom solution uses Hydrogen. Dubbed Angsrtom EverOn, will be available commercially in 2010.
This is good news as it promises to make our beloved device work longer with a short recharge time. Read more at www.angstrompower.com/articles/1249_080108_pressrelease.pdf.

Longer battery life and a short charge time are always welcomed on smartphones. When they became popular, the battery technology had trouble keeping up (and still does) with it. But it looks like a new solution is in the works and will provide us with what we really need.
