Game Troopers releases new Los Aliens game for Windows.

Games, games and more games seem to be the motto for the folks of Game Troopers. The company seems to be releasing new games for the Windows platform every two months, with the latest being Los Aliens, a multi-level puzzle game that takes you to space for a trip à la Star Wars. Developed by Shadow Masters, Los Aliens is a Windows Universal game, meaning it is available for download on every device running Windows.



Los Alien will take you into deep space exploration seeking for new worlds. As such you will obviously encounter new civilizations and new forms of life. Being a game, things are fun but not so easy as you will need to use strategy through the 170 levels with limited moves. One thing you will want to keep an eye on is fuel of course. Running out of it and you get lost in space forever.

Windows Mobile: What Microsoft Needs to Fix

I was reading this article in the link below on BusinessWeek and I thought I'd share it with you readers and especially to Microsoft. According to research firms, Windows Mobile has dropped to the 4th place on the mobile market. To be honest, that does not surprise me because I still have to use a stylus to move around in Windows Mobile. Thinking that Apple and Google just join the mobile bandwagon,  I'm stumped. I write this bearing in mind that Microsoft released Surface this year. They could have developed a similar technology for Windows Mobile instead. Based on news on the web, they plan to have a better technology than the iPhone with Windows Mobile 7. The problem is that WM7 will be released in 2010. Meaning that Windows Mobile will remain at its 4th position until then. I write this knowing that Windows Mobile was initially designed for the enterprise. For those of you who do not agree with me, well think about it. The only Mobile OS that lets you scan barcodes, connect to a database or web interface to publish data, use online forms is Windows Mobile and Windows CE. Android, Blackberry and iPhone do not support these features. In other words, Microsoft has the monopoly in enterprise mobility. Proof is that they licensed Exchange Activesync protocols to the fruit company and it won't be long before we see the G com joining the bandwagon. So I'm going to ask BusinessWeek and other major Tech news Corp to stop bashing Microsoft Windows Mobile. Do your homework.

Microsoft - Hurry up with the next release of Windows Mobile. I'm just tired of reading such articles on the web.

Wait! Do not upgrade to Vista yet

I was planning to purchase Windows Vista when I came across this article by Ben Stanley on Pocket PC Mag blogs relating the issues he came across after upgrading. Trust me, this is really worth reading. Ben reports that in order to sync your device you will need to purchase Office 2007, otherwise it just doesn’t work. Office 2007 is not cheap. Windows Mobile Device Center will let you sync your Mobile Favorites and files only. The article does not mention if Vista is compatible with Office XP/2003. Once more, this is recommended reading. Activesync 4.5 out of beta

The final version of activesync 4.5 is available here for download. This new version can be considered a minor upgrade as it includes a few bug fixes and that's about it.

Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista released

IF you have already upgraded to Windows Vista, which I intend to do soon, you must download Device Center if you want to keep your devices in sync with your PC.
