There will be NO Google phone

Richard Kimber, Google's South-East Asia managing director of sales and operations, and Vinton Cerf, Google's chief Internet evangelist have said that Google has no intention of making their own phone. Cerf added, Google is "quite eager" to be part of the growing mobile sector, and "is very interested in the platforms other people are building."
I had doubts when I first heard of the rumor that Google would become a phone manufacturer. The phone business requires a lot of investment, research and marketing. It's not just about gluing a few parts together and you have a phone.
